Visus' Features and Technical Specifications



Almost zero end-to-end latency

It is believed that a latency of over 100ms causes motion sickness and nausea as a result of the mismatch between the real head movements and the virtual head movements. With Visus, not only we have a latency of under 100ms, but we have a overall end-to-end latency of under 30ms, which is a great achievement in eliminating any kind of discomfort. Even though, Visus is completely wireless, it’s latency performance even excels some well-known wired VR headsets.


Dedicated reliable wireless Head-tracking system

Visus has its own ultra low latency head-tracking system that emulates mouse movements and connects to your PC with its wireless USB plug-and-play 2.4Ghz dongle. This advanced system has its own motion sensor with perfectly aligned MEMS Rotational and Linear sensors and a motion processor, all on a single chip. By using its own ultra reliable wireless connection and dedicated motion sensing and processing chip, this system will always work reliably.

High Frame rate

High frame rate (Refresh rate) is essential for seamless VR experience. At 60hz (60fps), Visus provides the almost ideal refresh rate (frame rate) for experiencing Virtual Reality by eliminating motion blur.

High Pixel density (ppi) phone screens

High pixel density is a key factor in eliminating the common screen door effect which is the effect of seeing lines between pixels. For the optimum experience, you shouldn’t be able to see the individual pixels in VR and by utilizing the new advanced smartphones as our wireless PC screen in Visus, we are taking advantage of their advanced and high resolution screens. Even tough with Visus, the games’ screen streams through WiFi to your phone in 720p or 1080p using Nvidia’s GameStream technology, a higher resolution screen will still take advantage of higher physical pixel count.

Higher apparent ppi

With our specially designed proprietary optics system with the largest diameter lenses possible at 2 inches (about 50mm), Visus , puts the screen (Your Smartphone) farther from the eye while still keeping the great field of view of around 100 degrees. This system causes the pixels on the screen appear much smaller and close to unnoticeable regardless of the actual screen resolution.

Wide Field of View

A wide Field of View of around 100 degrees significantly helps in the degree of immersion and eliminating motion sickness when the above factors such as low latency and high frame rate is achieved. As a result of the large 2 inch (50mm) Aspherical lenses, Visus’ wide field of view of around 100 degrees gives you exceptional presence inside your game so you feel you are actually in the jungle, the battlefield, or on the roof of a skyscraper in Japan.

Virtual 180 degrees ultra-wide field of view

Visus is also the first VR headset to feature our proprietary 180 degrees virtual field of view technology that further helps in eliminating motion sickness following our actual field of view of 100 degrees. This system works by having two narrow slots on the sides of Visus that allow our peripheral vision to see the outside light from the narrow side stripes without being able to recognize the outside environment. This feature provides ultimate comfort when using Visus by causing the brain to fuse the real and virtual field of views and perceive a real life-like environment in VR.

High texture Quality and High Anti-Aliasing

In Virtual reality life-like graphics is a key to make the brain stay comfortable and think what it sees is real and Visus takes advantage of the superior graphics provided by Nvidia GTX 600+ graphics cards to produce a life-like virtual experience without any discomfort. Apart from texture quality and resolution, in Computer graphics, proper Anti-Aliasing is also a major factor in eliminating motion sickness by producing clear lines as opposed to jagged curved lines. Anti-Aliasing needs a lot of computing power and high degrees of complex software support and because Visus is a PC-powered VR headset made for today’s advanced PC games, high degrees of anti-aliasing becomes possible. Even in Minecraft, High levels of Anti-Aliasing is required to perceive clear texture lines.

Anti-Fog system

Because of the natural human face heat, wearing a VR headset causes a rise in the air temperature between the face and the lenses . This Heat results in sweating and eventually causes the lenses to get foggy. Since we are gamers too, we know the level of discomfort foggy lenses can cause and to fix that we put a small fan on top of Visus and engineered a proprietary VR anti fog system with special air channels that cools the heated air between the face and the lenses. This innovative and proprietary system not only keeps the air temperature cool, it also makes the VR gaming more immersive. While running, walking, or even moving in the virtual world (games), we feel a smooth breeze on our face just like in the real world.




3.5mm Headphone Jack

Have the freedom to use any headphones with Visus. Use it's onboard 3.5mm jack for wired headphone or just use your wireless headphones. (The 3.5mm headphone jack on Visus relays your phone's 3.5mm headphone jack to make it accessible from outside.)


Supplemental Battery Pack

Visus has a proprietary and first-in-the-industry VR HMD Supplemental Battery Pack system with 2000 mAh built-in battery pack apart from its own operating battery, to keep the phone charged for the whole duration of gaming. (This internal supplemental battery pack can be charged through the dedicated micro-USB port on Visus and connects to your phone with the included micro-USB or Lightning connector.)



Fits prescription Glasses

We have redesigned Visus from its original prototype to make it possible to wear prescription glasses while wearing Visus. We added this essential feature to eliminate the need to physically adjust the lenses and not getting the optimal result. While your own prescription glasses provide the best vision correction possible, it helps having constant wide field of view by keeping the Visus lenses fixed at their optimal engineered location.
